For the 3rd time in a month I’ve been wowed by the up and coming Raz Koaz (DJ KOAZ). The 21 year old KOAZ is very ambitious and set his goals very high since he first started. With an EP due out in just a week, we’ve all got something to look forward to. His tracks are mastered with sheer perfection, you merely find yourself lost in a state of trance, with nice basslines and groovy melodies it’s hard not to. If you haven’t done so already, make sure you head over to his Soundcloud page and listen to “Fuck the Base”, and “The Hawk”! Two other originals that I can’t seem to get enough of. The sky is the limit for this talented young producer, it’ll be interesting to see who pulls him from Israel to take him touring soon enough!
Release coming 12.12.12 (House Division Records)
As I feel like I’m always explaining with Seven Lions (Jeff Montalvo), his taste in music never seems to amaze me. He takes such a great tune from Delerium “Days Turn Into Nights”, and makes all of his followers really believe, “you don’t have to be alone anymore! With an intro putting you in a trance and making you part of the song in a dreamlike sequence, he smacks you in the face with an ambient howl on top of some sexy bass! He truly takes us on a mind-blowing adventure in this one, switching back and forth from smooth melodic to a hard hitting bass section flawlessly. Seven Lions has had such a big year so far destroying the Beatport Charts, and it certainly looks like he is showing no signs of slowing down whatsoever! If you’re in the Umass Amherst vicinity tomorrow night be sure to see him destroy the Mullins Center for the Winter White Tour! Because it’s gonna be BANANAS…Literally
Jack Beats have a plan. That plan involves taking the very best, most spectacularly effective pieces from a vast array of different musical genres and blending them together into an irrepressible force that detonates on contact. When you lay it out like that it all seems quite simple really, doesn’t it? Says members Niall Dailly and Ben Griffin. I think I can speak for just about everyone else out there, when I say “these two together form a brain melting duo with endless boundaries and musical knowledge for days!” This release is no exception! If you enjoy this song, the release of the new EP on December 9th and will be available for purchase on BeatPort.Com
Little known Israeli producer Koaz knocks you on your ass with his latest release of ‘Fuck the Base’! A bassy, melodic club tune. Right from the get go this song makes you feel alive, with its upbeat and energetic bassline. Simple, yet perfected and mastered track start to finish, he somehow finds the common medium in between Electro & Progressive House and completely uses it to his advantage. This is the first hit I’ve heard from this new up and coming producer, hoping to hear a few more tracks within the next few months!
Let’s face it! It has definitely been a hot second since I can openly admit I’ve listened to little ,if ANY Congorock…But this edit of his, is sheer perfection! Taking an already mastered piece of art created by Clockwork, and crafting into his own tribalness and brain-melting style, which he does all so well. He takes you on a jungle safari ride, I can see it right now! A bunch of animals in the jungle all having a festival of there own and then the jungle falls apart at the CongoDropand they rave the night away! I think it’s fair to say that we can expect more big things to come from this L.A. based, Italian born star. If you’re new to the Congorock bandwagon, then let me fill you in on the hits that you missed from the past two years!
-Babylon , Ivory, Monolith, and his remix of Swedish House Mafia’s (One)
We look forward to a very successful rest of 2012 for Congorock(Rocco Rampino) , and can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us next year!
As if a brilliant Paul van Dykrelease wasn’t enough. Jeff Montalvo AKA Seven Lionstakes PvD’s sheer melodic capabilities to the next chapter of electro, an absolutely smashing remix of this track. From the get-go he has you on the edge of your seat waiting for the beat to drop with a beautiful and sensual intro. Followed by an eclectic kick to have you dancing your face off for hours only to get lost in outer space with the futuristic angelic sounds thrown on top by none other than Plumb! This year has already been a huge year for Seven Lions, and I’ve got a feeling that it’s still only uphill from here! Can’t wait to see his show next month! Winter White Tour at Umass Amherst is gonna be BANANAS!!!
With this track all you have to do is listen to the first 10 seconds and you’ll be hooked. Filled with beautiful ambient acoustics and synths only to be topped with vocal perfection! Obviously nothing less to be expected from the incredible collaborative work of Krewella, who has taken the EDM scene by storm this year. The hard part would be taking something that doesn’t need work, like this track, and turning it into another masterpiece altogether. Believe me when I say, Scandanavian duo ‘Pegboard Nerds‘ don’t fall short whatsoever! They take the friendliness of the original and turn it into a destructive work of art, very similar to what they did in ‘Make it bun dem remix’! Very thrilled to see what these guys have in store for the rest of this year and 2013!
First track I’ve had the pleasure of hearing fromMatt Fear.a deephouse, nu-disco/ techno producer from Leeds, Britain(UK). ‘Groove With It’ sends us the message, that no matter where you happen to be in the world, we can all universally ‘Groove With It’. With a track like this, that is so smooth and sleek, it literally just melts like butter! I look forward to hearing the remainder of tracks from this inspiring artist, and wish him the best for the rest of 2012!
This track will be available soon via Resonance Records on Beatport.Com!
An epic new release from ShockOne, “Chaos Theory” molds together insanely melting dubstep with dark vocal sampling set to a ominous melodic progression, never once losing sight of his DnB/Drumstep/Pendulum roots whatsoever! If you don’t feel your face melting and getting the f**k up by the end of this brain melting track, then I suggest you find yourself a new genre of music to listen to. “Chaos Theory” is a whole new direction for ShockOne, and we wish him continued success in 2013!
‘Beyond The Shadows’ a 1 of a kind track produced by Inspected artists KOAN Sound, Gemini, Culprate and Asa strike again during a special studio session in order to raise awareness for this great cause. This heart-warming and powerful integration of the artists’ sounds that intertwines all forms of electronic genres into one fully mastered work of art! The contrast of ambience, smooth vocals, fluent wobbles, natural drum sounds, and intense glitching is nonetheless a mere example of what happens when the best collide with one another. Support these wonderful artists, and better yet SUPPORT THE CAUSE!
